The Club at River Wilderness (formerly known as River Wilderness Golf & Country Club) is situated along the north shore of the Manatee River. The course is the centerpiece of a gated golf-and-boating community and it is a certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary. The layout stretches across more than 150 acres of scenic terrain that offers a mix of woodlands and wetlands. The landscape is home to several different species of birds and a variety of other wildlife. Besides being a scenic golf course, there are several challenges in store for you. The longest of five tee boxes stretches to nearly 7,000 yards. With some holes measuring up to 600 yards, long hitters will feel right at home. In addition to the course, The Club at River Wilderness's practice facility is known for being one of the best in the area. It includes a driving range and putting and chipping greens with a sand bunker.
