I have played many private courses over the years, including the old course at Ballybunion, Tom Watson's favorite. This is the best course I have ever played for the value, bar none, and second place doesn't come close! Not only was the condition and design of the course excellent, the staff was too!! I was going to play the "King and the Bear" at the Golf Hall of Fame, but Dane from the pro shop convinced my partner to change the venue, and thanks to him, I am very grateful. What a layout and challenge for any caliber of golfer. Bring your "A" game as each shot is challenged not only with strategically placed and plentiful bunkering but water hazards, including an island green. The variety of play on each hole is surprising as no two holes are alike and the difficult greens roll as true as the best bent grass. Tom Watson built a gem!!

My wife and I play this course as often as possible.
Just returned from playing a couple of weeks ago. Course was in excellent condition.
We were disappointed that none of the beautiful water falls we're operational. Not sure if the resort is trying to cut costs, or they needed repair.
Hopefully they will be operational by our next trip.

Just back from my second time playing this extraordinary layout. In my top 5 - along with The Old Course, Carnoustie, Glen Abbey and Shenandoha at Turning Stone. They're honoring Watson by keeping it in pristine shape, even if Ginn and the high-end housing collapsed.
