excellent value
This is a must play before they close in 2015. Its ashame they are turning the course into more condos. This is a wonderful course, I played it two straight days. Highly recommend. Very good GPS systems on the carts.
Grand Pines
It was a wonderful experience, course was in great shspe, greens were true and vey trickie wh I ch made it very challenging. Staff was very attentive to personal attention like bringing cool wet towels out on the course to keep you refreshed and hydrated, looking forward for my next outing at The Marriott Grand Pines Golf Club.
Good Course
Good course could be very good located some where else . Florida needs to put out a disclaimer on being the Sun Shine State !!!!! Rain and Lightning every day in the summer ,you might get in nine holes if you start by 7am so don't plan on playing much golf here in the summer !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
just all round great place
Played this course for the first time after being told its value for money the course was a1 from tee to greens are brilliant and the bonkers are the best I seen the facilities were as good as u get and staff all around club really make u feel home
Great Orlando golf
From the first person I met, a Scottish man named Jim, I knew it would be a great round. Each shot flew true with a healthy mix of middle irons to pitch shots and undulating greens. Truly a challenge for the mid handicapper but not so much it was frustrating. Can't wait to play again with " course knowledge,".
great course
Our first time playing Grande Pines and were very impressed. We have always wanted to play and finally got our chance. We were very excited to play the course on our next visit to Orlando but found out that the course would be closed for other land use. What a shame.
best value for MONEY
Overall course was jn excellent shape. Just what i expected from a highly acclaimed resort course. Not very difficult but good shot selections. From back tee presents a more challenging drive.will definitely play here again.
Battled the Course and T-Storms
Booked this round knowing that weather could possibly be an issue, but I really wanted to play this course and it was too good a deal to pass up.
Nice facility and friendly staff. Greeted at curb and at 1st tee. Carts have large color GPS systems that show accurate placement of pins and even location of other golf carts showing distance from you. Good to judge when to tee off. Also showed how we were doing versus a normal pace of play. Was also able to keep track of PGA and MLB scores via the screen.
Course is somewhat challenging with the elevated Greens and quite a few strategically placed bunkers both around the Greens and in the Fairways (the one in the middle of the 13th Fairway comes to mind). Also, the rain made it more difficult. Had to clear the course once due to lightning.
Not many forced carries from the Gold tees, but several from further back. Gold tees were 6,070 yards a bit long for this short hitter.
That said, I like the course and wish that it was not closing. Course was sold in Feb and is going to close in about 6-8 months to make way for houses, etc.

Grande Pines
My wife and I played here yesterday and it was great! The pace of play was a little slow, but we were told going in that it would be. The greens were is GREAT shape and were putting very true and fast. The fairways were still showing a few signs of being punched but were still very nice. The staff were outstanding and the beverage kart was running quickly all DAY!!! There is a lot of water on this course, but not to fear most of the red tees minimize it. So my wife the beginner was still able to shot a 100!
Going to Miss this Course
This is a very nice and adequately challenging course that is very well maintained, however the greens were a bit slower than preferred. Was sad to hear that Marriott sold off the property to a developer that's planning retail & condo properties. What a waste of a beautiful green area. Was told it closes Mar 2015, so play while you can.
Very Challenging Course
my golfing buddies and I enjoyed course. some of the fairways were a little dry but overall in great shape. slow play, but it moved decent for amount of golfers on the course.
Challenging
The course is in great shape, greens run very true. Lots of blind shots for the first time player. I look forward to playing a second round
Second time
Do not go long on the green at the first hole. Sharp drop off in the back into the water. I lost my ball in the water. Great course though.
Well Maintained Resort Course
Nice, wide fairways. Smooth greens which putted true. Friendly staff, and the course is convenient to Disney attractions.
I want to get back there to play it again before it is closed and bulldozed in to become a commercial housing development. Makes no sense to me, but the ownership has recently changed, and it's all about money, I guess.
Great Deal on Golf Now
Was in town for a convention and some golf. So glad I selected this course. Was a great round and fun. The starter suggested the White tees and I am glad we took his advice. Several water carries that made it challenging. Will definant play next time in town.
Excellent and Challenging Course
This course was in excellent condition, Played a twilight rouind in 3 hours as a single but the pace of play was great. As a high Handicap I found this course extremely challenging, but was happy I tried it, as I had one of my best rounds ever. Course has plenty of Bunckers everywhere. The great thing is the carts have a GPS which instructs you on how you should approach each hole and the carry to the fairway bunckers leaving you options on how you would like to attack each hole. Great course.
Tricky
This is a resort course that is a little tricky the first time you play it . The greens were very nice but the rest of the course was just average in condition. Lots of short, guarded par fours and lots of dog legs left. It does have GPS for course layout but there are lots of blind shots. The staff was very attentive.
Tough track
Very tough golf course for the average golfer but a good test from whatever tees you choose
Can not believe they are digging it up
Staff were great and very helpful when storm stopped play
No problem with rain check
Challenging course
Booked tee off through Golf Now and saved a good chunk of change. Course was a little difficult and made the round enjoyable.
Not your normal Central Florida course. It's better.
While most courses try to do the same things around orlando, mostly due to the lack of natural elevation changes, this course is not one of them. The layout plays tough, but reminds me more of a northern US course. It's very well maintained, even in the dry Florida season. I highly recommend playing 18 here.
