Me and my partner played this course today. Depite the many negatives I have heard over the years about this course, I was surprised to find that it was a actually a beautifully layed out course and in excellent condition.
The fairways are very wide and even if you hit in the rough it is really not much of a problem as it is not dense and you will find your ball and be able to hit it. The fairways are Bermuda and very well kept . A line drive will roll a long way.In fact some of my miss hits went pretty far. The greens are fast but not to fast and they have a lot of swales so they are not easy but again the greens are in excellent condition and the putts run true. Years ago you had to pay extra if you were not a City of Ocala resident but that's no longer the case. There's a fair amount of Sand around the greens and a number of across the fairway creeks. Because it was a hot day we only played 9. We will try to play the back 9 next week. THey have 5 tee boxes for the big hitters to the Senior guys like us. I was pleasantly surprised!!
    The fees are reasonable
