    Pro’s :
Challenging, know your distance, lots of water hazards, overall well maintained , great rates and very friendly staff.

    Con’s:
all fairway’s having water hazards are sloped towards the water at least 20 feet long with no longer grass (rough) boarding the fairway’s resulting in many balls rolling in the water, same applies on greens located by the water, if it rolls off the green it rolls down into the water.

Even if the greens were in excellent condition it was not a plus, in my personal view, to have most, if not all, greens multi level (many three levels+) so expect that you’ll be having very few two putts.

Overall great course but I would like to see more ‘’rough’’ boarding the fairway’s along the water hazards and greens.

Pace of was play was slow. Office staff was not helpful, overcharged for rental clubs and would not refund the difference. I would not recommend this course.

Played course in Feb. Being a ex-Superintendent I will give nothing but praise to the Supt. and his staff. Greens are some of th e best in South Florida and conditions are super given what they have to work with, i.e small staff and a poor irrigation system. Could be premier course in South Florida if management company and Davie use their heads! Clubhouse staff was OK. I would give customer service 2 stars, course conditions 4 stars, greens 5 star.

Course is dry, greens don't hold or roll well at all. Pace of play was brutally slow and there was no ranger to monitor play. Tiny range and putting green. Don't hit in the fairway traps, way to much sand and totally inconsistent. They did moves a lot of dirt in the renovation.

We had a tee off at 9:06 on 3/29/2012. The group are all golf members in Quebec and we average 8 to 14 handicap. We choose to play the black tee which is the average length played at our home course.
While we found your new design very tricky and not easy to score, we rolled along quite well and were well within our game time.
We invited a twosome to go by at hole #8.

We were warned at hole #11 by the Marshall that we were not fast enough and that groups behind were complaining and suggested that we played from the silver tee. We took note of it and started off from the silver tee on the next hole....but we realised that we were well within our time and decided that we would finish our game from the black tee thereafter as we paid to have challenge and fun.
On the no.14 tee off the Marshall came back stating that we had not listened to him and was again putting undue pressure. We told him that to check our time in play well within range and that for the price paid, we were gonna play our game.... and if they are not happy, they only have to give us a refund and we would exit quite fast... which he refused after discussion with the Proshop.

We finished our game from the black tees but the fun of playing was gone. We were by the clubhouse at 13:00 (played that course in 3:54 hours) and had a quite heavy discussion with your Marshall.

    In summary:
    1) You have a tough layout design with micky Mouse Greens that should take 4:15 to 4:30 hours to play for a skilled foursome.

    2) We were followed by two Threesome groups.Of course, their play was faster but our pace was excellent and your Marshall should have taken notice of it and adress the situation with them accordingly.

    3) We have played Quality courses like the Plantation Preserve, the Osprey Point, The Woodmont, the Inverrary, the Grand Palms..etc. We can compare quality/ price and Customer Service and you are below their level. We never had such an experience so far in Florida.

    4) Besides, based on the quality of your fairways, your rate is too expensive....no wonder why your parking was empty at 9:00 AM.

We all stay the 5 winter months in Florida and are playing 3 times/week but your new Davie Course will go on our black List and our experience should not draw positive comments to our friends for future reference.

Played this course today (2/22/2012) and I was impressed with the renovation. Playing this course, the former Arrowhead Golf Club, is a very funny experience. With lot of water, stretch fairways in almost every hole, undulated greens, and the new landscaping, Davie Golf Club have nothing to envy to most of private golf clubs in Broward and Miami Dade. Be prepared to to play your best golf and have a lot of fun trying to keep your score, at least, fair. You will love the par 3s layout and for sure will hate the par 5s difficulty. Excellent customer service from the pro shop to the starter, they make you feel like you have played there since ever. Davie Golf & Country Club will be one of our favorites from now on.

Overall a fun course to play with excellent customer service. A Par 70 with a lot of water in play. Shot making is essential and the undulating greens do not make for easy putts. I found it best to play shots opposite side of water because on some holes a middle of the fairway shot can roll into water. However, if you lose a few balls, they give you some back on #10. The free apples are a nice treat. They also have had contests on the 2 times I played.

The course is newly renovated and the rough is short. Can putt from off the green. Only reason I didn't give it a 5 is because I need to see the course after it rains and in the summer.
    Looking forward to coming back.
