The River Club

Situated along the Braden River, the River Club in Bradenton is conveniently located near both Sarasota and Tampa. The golf course is considered to be one of Florida's best, which is some lofty recognition in a state that boasts more than 2,000 courses. The layout stretches to just over 7,000 yards from the back tees. The front and back nines offer a distinct set of challenges from one another though both incorporate rolling fairways. The first half of the golf course sprawls across sloping hills with plenty of mounding while the back nine is much more heavily wooded and the greens are more dramatically undulated. The River Club finishes with its signature hole, a par 4 that requires a straight shot in order to avoid the trouble that lurks along either side of the fairway. The second shot is to a heavily guarded green.
