Great track!!! Condition in September excellent. No homes in view and one of Joe Lee's favorite designs.
Design of tees and greens is such that you can play daily, without ever getting bored. Each hole id totally different, depending on placement of tees and pins.

The fruit trees are gone after the hurricanes and the fungus that attacked the trees. The course was regrassed and the bunkers were all redone and as of 2013 it is a suburb layout and condition.

The only problem is that it is private and you have to join to play or know a member.

I haven't played Banyon for a while, but if memory serves it was a terrific layout. The track has water everywhere. The views from the tee boxes are great, one more beautiful than the next. When I played, the course was in beautiful condition. The track was built, I believe by a horticulturist, not an architect. There are fantastic Banyon trees everywhere as well orchids and fruit trees. In fact when your round is over you will find bags of oranges and grapefruits in the parking lot waiting for you to take home.
Really nice club house and men's lockeroom. All in all, I remember a challenging, well conditioned and picturesque golf course.
