This course has the potential to be a beautiful golf course. It is mixed with Frisbee golf which is a plus/minus for some. It is full of water hazards which make it challenging, but it is hard to tell the difference between the narrow fairway and large rough areas. There are many beautiful animals and sites to see here, but there are also very messy areas of the course. There seems to be a repair shop/ junk yard in the middle of Hole #2. Some golf carts are nice... Others sound like there is no muffler. Not a very clean environment. If you're looking for a cheap round of golf during the week, this is your place.
P.S. ground is extremely wet throughout the day, don't bring your best shoes.

Fun 9-hole golf course open to the public. $10 to walk, $15 to ride. Course is laid out quite well and rewards accuracy. The service here is friendly. There is no driving range.

The par 35 (36 from red tees) course has two par 3s, one par 5 and the rest par 4. The average male golfer can use driver 5 or 6 times.

There's water on 8 of 9 holes due to 8 ponds and the Anclote River. Some holes have water on both sides. Greens are slightly elevated and 7 greens have water on at least one side, usually long.

Course is generally in fair shape. Greens are not fast and have mostly grass but with some weed problems. Fairways are mowed of course, but they're a mix of grass and weeds with some dirt patches all due to low elevation and the occasional partial flooding from high tides and the brackish waters.

The course is easily walkable and they have several pull carts available. They have golf carts too, but they're in pretty rough shape. Vehicle parking is convenient with the shortest walk ever to the clubhouse and #1 tee.

The clubhouse is a must see restaurant/bar that's also open in the evening. It's rustic with decor from an old Wisconsin farm. It's not something you expect to see in Florida. It has all kinds of old farm equipment in the rafters which are the actual beams from the barn. It even has several large stuffed animals. Very charming.

The best part of the restaurant is the burgers which are cooked on an indoor charcoal grill! Menu is limited but they also have items like brautwurst and fried fish. The full bar includes some domestic beers on tap. Prices are very reasonable.

This golf course has large shorebird wildlife. It's not unusual to see ibis, cranes, blue herons, sandhill cranes, osprey, and the occasional rosette spoonbill or eagle. Sometimes a large softshell turtle will migrate from one pond to another. And to the right of #5 green there's a large female gator who keeps to herself and stays in her small pond and seems to have babies every year.

I recommend the course to male and female players of all skill levels. If you prefer well manicured golf courses, this golf course is not for you. This course is for casual Florida golf. To score well here you'll have to think about your distance and shot placement.
