played this course many times. conditions range from average to very good.. when conditions are good it is the best value within 50 miles. lush firm fairways, fast greens and many fun and challenging holes. played this course about 50 times in the last 13 years. never disappointed.

Smelly, noisy, and crummy views. The course smells like sewage. The pump at the first tee makes an ungodly squeal. If you like playing between houses and smelling sewage for 4 hours this is the course for you.

Played there on Monday 11/11/2019. The course seemed very tired and there was a massive construction project straddling the 3 fairway with construction vehicles crossing the fairway. Then they were conducting course maintenance at 2:30 pm. The lawn tractors parked their vehicles right next to the bunkers (talk about a hazard), but that wasn't the half of it. As I continued to play further the greens were in very poor condition with depressions and uneven cuts. Terrible shape and for the money Capstone Golf charges for a round a HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT.
I contacted Capstone Golf through their website to make my complaints known and received 2 nasty Email replies from a Mr. Mike Pullen the owner who basically told me in the first Email to "IF YOU DONT LIKE IT PLAY ELSEWHERE" needless to say I was shocked. This is how the owner of Capstone Golf treats is "loyal" customers. I wrote him back and stated that I was making comments and as the owner should at least investigate my complaints to insure customer satisfaction. I wasn't asking for a refund or a discount. At that time I received another response Email from Mr. Pullen indirectly to one of his employees instructing him to remove me from their customer loyalty list. WOW, TALK ABOUT CUSTOMER CARE.
NOW I KNOW WHY GRAND RESERVE AND ST. JOHNS GOLF CLUB BOTH OWNED AND OPERATED BY CAPSTONE GOLF ARE IN THE CONDITIONS THEIR IN. VERY SAD.

The Course was in great shape, course was crowded but play was surprisingly fast! Greens are fast, fairways great! I consider when I play 18 holes in under 4 hrs it's incredibly fast play, no waiting more than 2 mins between shots, awesome!
