Winter Park Country Club near Orlando: Nothing stuffy about this affordable nine-hole golf course

WINTER PARK, Fla. -- The second oldest golf club in central Florida, Winter Park Country Club, isn't really a country club. It's a walkable, affordable nine-hole municipal course in the heart of Winter Park, just north of downtown Orlando.

The club's history, which goes back to 1914, included play from the likes of Ben Hogan, Sam Snead, Gene Sarazen and Walter Hagen. With its narrow, tree-lined fairways and small greens and bunkers, this 2,470-yard par 35 is a good skills test for every level of player.

Green fees during the week are $16, replays $5 and pushcarts are $3.
