Take a lookabout Walkabout Golf Club on the Space Coast in Mims
MIMS, Fla. -- The Perry Dye/Jan Stephenson design of Walkabout Golf Club is one of the more interesting layouts on the entire east coast of Florida.
The golf course gets its name from Stephenson's home country of Australia and even has a green shaped like the country and continent on its extra 19th hole. But what really sets apart Walkabout is that each hole is unique and certainly challenging. No two are alike, and many can be intimidating, especially on the front nine.
In fact, the front nine used to be the back nine, but because the original front nine played into the morning sun, the nines were reversed.
The course has six sets of tees and can be played as far back 7,146 yards for a par of 72.
