I represent a group of golfers from Canada and many of the Northern States. We play different courses within an hour of Lakeland, Florida. Today, January 6, 2012 we took 16 players and played Quail Hollow.

This course is an excellent track with well maintained fairways and excellent greens. The bunkers make a bit of a challange but the course is very playable if you chose tees within your capability.

In addition, the well trained and courteous staff on the course and in the club house added to the pleasure of playing here. They also have an excellent menu and the food is good. We will definately be back.

The only reason I gave it average because the day after Thanksgiving the golf course management literally stalked us when we hit the back nine even though we were on a four hour pace they kept after us to speed it up. We could not understand why when the group behind us was not waiting for us to play and the group in front wast no more than a hole and 1/2 half ahead of us. We made the turn at the 2 hour mark and was on pace to finish in 4 hours or less.

I first played this course in 1969 and have seen this course go through many changes over the decades, including a four year closure. Shortly after the grand re-opening I returned to play this course and were plesently suprised to find the course in better condition than I have ever seen it in its entire 46 year history. From the manicured fairways to the new Tif-Dwarf greens, this course in phenomenal. To the new owner of the course, all of us Quail Hollow lovers offer our sencere appreaction for you giving us back this jem of a golfcourse. Sincerely Steve Terry.
