Very interesting but overpriced
Free bucket of balls and pristine conditions but even with a hotdeal it’s overpriced by $20 or so. Super nice place to work on the short game esp given 5 of the 12 holes are par 3. But get real for the same price you get 18 on a real par 72 course at Jax Beach
I’ll be back if there’s an outstanding hot deal and I’ve got credits to burn
Oh and there are no 100-150 markers and the cart gps didn’t work
Great course
This is one of mine and my sons favorite courses in the area to play. The course is always in great shape when we play, staff is friendly. The only thing I can suggest for improvement is spreading out the tee times a little more than 10 minutes from each one. The course can get backed up with some foursomes pretty easily. Other than that I will continue to come back and play.
Great shape and Great layout
The course is in great shape with a fun layout. Obviously wish it was 18 holes and me and my group were a little skeptical of a 12 hole course but honestly it was worth the money and will play it again.
Excellent course - Highly recommend
We have played this course a couple times and have enjoyed it. The front 9 is very challenging with quick and sloped greens. The back par-3 holes are fun to play. Highly recommend taking a trip to play here.
Great round of golf
Really nice course. Enjoyed a round with my 3 boys. Wasn't crazy about the last 3 holes (par 3's) but the front 9 were amazing. Will be back.
At this point, I prefer the 12-hole option
There has been some talk about reducing full rounds from 18 holes to 12. At this stage in my life, I’m good with that. Last played here when it was Oak Bridge. That was probably 35-40 years ago. As a now 50-something, love what the new group has done with the property. Challenging full nine holes followed by three par 3s to take you home. Driving range was mats, so not preferred. Still, ample putting and chipping practice areas. New grill/patio area looked like a great place to spend a happy hour and/or college football Saturday in the fall..
Awesome Course
Best and hardest affordable 9 holes in Jax. Be ready to lose some balls if you hit the left rough off the tee. Greens are one of a kind in Jax some serious elevation changes make it a challenge. Over all the course tore me up, however it was very nice and in great shape.
Hard one to review :
Conditions were great though the greens could be a bit more forgiving. What can’t be excluded is the price - if you nab a hot deal for $50 that’s a $75 round given this is only 12 holes. And that’s being generous as 10-12 are just par 3s !
Personally I’d take the old Oakbridge course (when it was being maintained) and it’s 18 holes for under $20.
Brutal elevation changes on the greens
Used to play Oakbridge a LOT back in the day (2000-2005). Night and day conditions. It’s truly a Sawgrass course now. Look out on the greens though. 4 putt is a very real possibility. I had a friend roll 2 putts that came back to him or even past him, like we were at Augusta. Super fun, but don’t expect to score well.
Sawgrass’ backyard
Great fun course, well presented and a very enjoyable round
Worth the trip
Fun. Playable and friendly layout. Enjoyed the experience. Wish the outside grill would have stayed open later.
12 hole round
A perfect spot for getting in some golf without it taking all day. The front yard is a solid test of golf while the backyard is a fun "party" atmosphere. I see more of this type facility in the future.
Played 12
Played day after being Aerated, but still a demanding layout of holes with water. Couple greens have severe slopes and even Aerated putted pretty well.
Fun short course in good shape
A few of the greens are stupid. One with two levels I’d like a 4 ft. Drop! Another hole has a sand trap right in the middle. And a third hole has a gully running through it like a canyon. It was more like goony golf!
Wonderful but Weird
Let me say, this course is in pristine condition. 10of 10 would recommend playing once. That said, I can’t give 5 stars. It is not 18 holes. This is a 12 hole course with a front 9 and 3 other holes somewhat thrown together just past the practice area. 6 of the 12 holes are par 3s. 12 holes costed $65. Usually that’s a full 18 rate. But man was the course in perfect condition. Very similar to the conditions at the stadium course. Range balls are included in the greens fees so there are some savings there. Would give 5 stars but it’s just 12 holes on the course which is kinda weird.
The Yards
Very nice but I feel for only a 9 hole course $50+ is pricey. It was Sunday and the restaurant at the course was closed.
