Palmetto Golf Club is considered one of south Florida's best municipal courses, partly because it is one of the area's best values. The par-70 layout is a manageable length that will appeal to golfers of all skill levels. A round can be played fairly quickly, but it is not a simple pitch-and-putt. The layout is player-friendly enough for beginners but it offers a surprising amount of challenges for the more experienced players as well. A system of canals snakes its way throughout the golf course, bordering the palmetto-lined fairways. A few strategically placed bunkers come into play but the wide greens are very forgiving. It is a fun round that is also scenic. In addition to the course, Palmetto Golf Club also has a 22-station, lighted driving range as well as a lighted putting green.
