Orangebrook Golf & Country Club boasts two 18-hole courses, the East and the West. Located in the heart of Hollywood, the two courses offer traditional Florida links golf at an affordable price. The West Course is slightly more challenging than the East with an extra set of tees that stretches to 6,626 yards from the back tees. The holes are mostly straightforward without any hidden hazards, though you will come across both water and strategically placed bunkers throughout. The par-4 13th is a particularly challenging water hole with a creek that flows along almost the entire right side before cutting in front of the green. It's followed by another tricky hole with water, a par 3 that features another creek that crisscrosses the length of the hole.

Pace of play averaged out at 6 hours for 18 holes. Starter no help at all for a single. Total number of players the day I played was 214. On first par 3 there was 1 foursome on the green and 4 foursomes waiting. The club has no rangers to address the pace of play and every one suffered. The greens were ridged and sinking a putt was an adventure that you didn't need. While price was fine value was missing. You would think that some money would be reinvested in the facility and staff.

This course was once a great place to play. Now that they are NOT on golfnow, I hardly ever play there. If they were on golfnow many, many, many people would play there.
