Playing for birdies
Very nice course. Challenging. Really good greens. Fairways in good shape. Enjoyed my round.
Fast
I played as a single and flew aroundo the course. Over all it is in good shape and a good layout. Got it cheap on golf now and well worth it
Very nice layout
I really really liked the layout of the course. You do meet your challenges in this course. Dog legs with sand right at the curve at your landing area, among other things. Double threat !!! The island hole 18th really tests your skills.
I want to go back. I also liked that there was constantly a ranger driving around the course. We were a twosome stuck behind three foursomes and only one or twice had to wait very minimal time to tee off. All that being said, the course needs a little TLC to make it great. It is not terrible, but a lot of burnt spots on the fairways. Players in that course do not fix divots off or on the green. I probably fixed at least three and up to 6 divots on every shot. The greens are not too hard to play as they are fairly flat. The ball rolls just fine, but they are soft.
Conclusion: I will go back.
Course was sold
I was told the Hillcrest Golf course was sold and now signs of that are beginning to show. The traps on some holes were washed out and not maintained or raked out
The staff is very friendly and I have played there many times. I will reconsider my choices based on the rate I paid.
The greens are in good shape, rolled true, tee boxes they had treated with weed killer and some were sparse. Fairways in good shape a little dry in areas but considering the hot weather we have been having in late May good condition.
the course needs attention
Lot better choices for the same money play behind threesome and it was very slow pace
First time playing alone at Hillcrest!!
Played alone and everyone was so friendly And helpful. Fairways and greens in good shape . Had a fabulous round.
Tricky little course
Course is in fair condition. Would play there again. It's tricky and must make smart decisions. Pace of play in the evening was great.
Hillcrest:
I would come back just to try the 18th hole again. Enjoyable.
Great value
Used golfnow as I played as a single. Met a frienly starter who paired me with a twosome . Fortunately, they are regulars here. Gps system down so used my new buddies as caddies. Nice layout with contoured greens. The greens are big and rolled really well since we were the third group out. A few holes challenging and a few less demanding. We played the white tees which made the par 5's easier to reach in regulation. The last hole really unique with island green. A rememberable hole!, good track, will be back!
très beau terrain
J'ai bien aimé ce terrain il y a de beau trous de golf
Good golf course
The Green are not in good condition.
The grass is not Green I think is too dry.
But we had good Time .
The buildings around do not look very nice .
Nice layout a bit tired
Overall nice layout. Was probably really nice at some point. Conditions were not good but pace of play was ok. Facilities very limited. Cart girl very nice.
great course for entertaining customers
the course was great and challenging enough and plenty of narrow fairways for an advanced golfer, but it's not worth the $65+ per round, plenty of EXCELLENT courses in my region rated better than Hillcrest and for less money.
Nice Course
First time I played here but will definitely paly here again.
Good
Nice greens.s
Slow pace of play.
Par 3's play long
Good track
Very good condition, even for winter. Yardage is pretty well distributed. You have a chance to reach the par 5 holes, some of the par fours will leave you with a long approach. I had a mid week early tee time. Played with three guys. We had fun
Course Closing Stay Away!
Managment couldn't care less. They are closing the course, so they stacked up 6 carts at one time on the first tee and wouldn't let anyone off the back. Play it if you like free for all tee times.
Awesome course
Get a tee time and play this course it will challenge your holding abilities.. A great course! I hear it's closing and condos are going up. What a shame to get rid of a course like that. I can think of many others courses in this area that need to be closed... And certainly not this one . It's aunt play before it closes!!!!
Course Pending Closure
Better to play elsewhere if you are visiting the Fort Lauderdale area.
Our round lasted six hours as tee times were ignored and even staff members invited their friends to jump in front of those with tee times.
Most locals have already found other places to play. We felt sorry for traveling golfers on vacation who had to spend hard-earned dollars to play in this pre-closure environment
Pricey for the overall conditions
Paid 56$ plus taxes. Other better choice of courses at this price range
