Meadowbrook Golf Club sits on the site of a former Indian Reservation, sprawling across gently rolling terrain sprinkled with mature trees. You'll most likely see the wildlife that calls the course home, including cranes, foxes, and hawks, during your round. Unlike many of the flatter golf courses you'll find in Florida, this layout features a variety of elevation changes that range from subtle to dramatic. In addition to the slopes and undulations in the landscape, there is plenty of water coming into play in the form of natural ponds and streams. Accuracy is a key element of this golf course thanks to the tight, tree-lined fairways and small greens. The unique angles of the course also place a premium on shot placement. The phrase "you'll use every club in your bag" definitely applies here, but from the front tees, Meadowbrook Golf Club is player friendly enough for beginners to enjoy.

You will definitely use every club in your bag. Hard to believe this is a course in Fla with its rolling hills .

Was looking for a quick tee-time in while visiting Gainesville, FLA. Based on what the locals told me, I was expecting some sort of goat track.

Chris Marcum has got this course in very good shape. I was impressed with the course. Tight fairways, but nothing that outrageous. Would play it again in a heartbeat.

Excellent 19th hole food area. Can't complain and will play the course again when I get to Gainesville.

My son lives up in Gainesville, FL. Three years ago a valiant effort was made to bring this course from disrepair to a great playing condition. Last year the course was almost pristine. The course is not easy and many times you must position your shot to keep out of trouble. That was last year. I played this year and, unless they make an effort to fix the course, I am not going back. The fairways are not bad, but the greens are in poor shape and the sand traps have plenty of grass growing in them. I hope they make the effort to bring the course bad to a good playing condition because I like the course.

The course has been completely redone. $16 for 18 holes with a cart. Can't beat that!

Great track. Tight fairways, Smooth greens. This course has improved tremendously since I played here last year. All new staff - I guess there is a new owner too. Overall well worth the price of $20 for 18 holes

We came down for the Florida vs UT game, and we played a number of courses in the area. By far this was the most disappointing. Greens were as bad as i have ever seen. More sand than grass. The course had potiential if properly kept but i would recommend driving down the road beside holes 6, 7, 8 and check out the greens before putting down the cash. If those greens are in bad shape you can bet the rest of the coarse will be also.

The course was in bad shape. The guy in the pro shop said they had punched the greens 2 months ago, but it looked like it was punched the week before. We had paid for 18 but left after 9 to play elsewhere. The rest of the course needed some help also. Don't recommend until they can get there act together. Very disappointed.
