The rating would NOT take when I gave it 1/2 star! Why bother playing here when there are over a hundred other wonderful courses you can play in the SW Florida area - there is just no need to play at this club. Just NOT worth it.
To begin with - when you arrive the convoluted way it is set up for parking, dropping off your clubs, you get into a really bad cart, and then you have to drive a strange 1/2 mile to get back over to the driving range and Pro Shop. The carts are awful with no GPS and such touchy brakes that you have to worry about being thrown out of the cart when they are used. The staff is rather unfriendly and very uncooperative. The Pro Shop is sparse. Amenities are a completely unknown item here; there are none. The practice area and the range over water are a joke - old sinking range balls. Then, there is the course. Narrow, not in great condition, and not particularly attractive or fun. So if you want to waste your time and money -- have at it. But seriously, there are at least 30 other golf courses that are infinitely more enjoyable with better staff and amenities. I would rather play anywhere but here.

Gulf Harbour is the pick of the litter in Fort Myers. Very few (only three on the west coast) clubs are located on the water with a yacht club, tennis and .living complex. The greens average 11-12 on a stint meter, the course is airy and half on the holes have manageable water. Even in the summer there's nice breeze off the water. Excellent course, great experience.
