The West Course is the newer of two championship golf courses at Bonaventure Country Club in Fort Lauderdale. Its sister course has a reputation for being one of Florida's best, but the West provides a unique and challenging complement that manages to hold its own. Like the East, the West Course sprawls across a lush landscape covered with mature trees and vegetation. It is also home to an abundance of wildlife including blue herons, egrets, and wild parrots. The seemingly easy 6,128-yard layout will actually require the use of every club in your bag. This layout is trickier than it appears with a slew of demanding par 3s and although the fairways are generous, the tricky hole design ensures low scoring is no easy feat. While the other golf course may be more well known, the West is just as challenging
