Golf course architect Tom Jackson discovered The Links Course over 25 years ago. During construction, Tom Jackson unearthed a rhythmic flow of par 3s, 4s and 5s winding their way through the area’s lakes, marshes and pine forests. Much like the seaside links courses of Scotland, The Links Course at Sandestin plays into a strong, prevailing Gulf Coast wind making precise club selection essential. Water features on 13 of the course’s 18 holes make shot accuracy a necessity and have earned the course the title of one of the most challenging resort courses in all of Florida. In fact, The Links’ 9th hole recalls the spirit of another fine links course, the 18th at Pebble Beach, as it runs along Choctawhatchee Bay and plays to a 536 yard, par 5.
