Sanctuary Ridge Golf Club

This is the first time playing since it was closed down and way better than before. Actual grass and plays a bit better with certain traps filled in. I always liked this course and still do. Just not sure it’s worth $90. I will keep looking for the deals.

The course still needs some time to grow in, mostly in the fairways and the rough. The greens were nearly perfect, though. Very nice tee boxes. I had forgotten how much fun this course is- the elevation, the choices from the tee, and did I mention the greens? Large, smooth and in great shape. The putting surfaces on the course were better than the practice green which was a nice surprise. I have high hopes for the survival of the course this time around. It’s a little pricey compared to the other 2 or 3 courses nearby, but if the money keeps going back into course maintenance, it will be worth it.

Unique Florida course, lots of elevation changes! In good shape, firm, large greens, not to fast. Played as a twosome until 13 when a single caught us, still played in 3 hours! Overall, a great experience.

The same great layout minus the terrible conditions we have all seen in the past.

Staff were all very nice and helpful.
The carts are awesome.

This course is still filling back in, in a few areas but over all a huge improvement on all fronts.

Hopefully the keep the price up all year to keep the round count per day down a little bit. We don’t want another Legends or White Heron in the center of Clermont.

I played Sanctuary Ridge the last day they were open. It was a little more than a cow pasture. I was excited when I heard it was reopened. I even payed much more than I normally pay for golf, $95 + tax, thinking that with this being the elevated cost they must have done some major renovations to the course. They did redo the restaurant, put in a new pro shop, and a new pretty elaborate driving range. The driving range almost makes you think of Top Golf with real grass. However, all they did to the actual golf course was reseaded everything, yes it was green and in fair shape, but to charge the rates they are now seems only to pay for the amenities off the course. I will NOT play there again until there prices come down.

Unfortunately, all the money was spent on the restaurant and range. There was little change to the course, except for making bunkers smaller. The back nine still had dirt and bare spots. The first hole should have been graded smooth, before planting new grass. The course should be the star, not the clubhouse.

I live next door and was one of the first golfers to ever play this course. And i was probably the last or nearly the last to play also. Loved this course for many years, great layout, interesting holes. It became badly rundown the past couple years, but i will miss it greatly. I hear it may comeback as Clernont national, next year, we`ll see....

It’s clearly not a well maintained course. It lacks mowing and watering.

Second time playing here. Both times have run into issues with other golfers and pace of play. Course is set up awesome, nice club house, but nothing is maintained well. Still a fun place for the low price.

Hopefully this picturesque coarse will get the owner of deserves and will turn this around into a premier course. The layout is great. Good challenges, but man oh man, show the course dinner live, cut the grass, clean outa sandtrap or two. Hopefully a cart could come by as well.

Fairways are is poor condition. Greens not bad. Counter staff good, outside attendant sucks

The course is suffering. I really like the course layout, but the tee boxes, fairways, greens, and even the rough are not even close right now. Greens fees match course conditions, so you're not getting ripped off, but . . .

1-Fairways were in such poor condition making it even hard to navigate a golf cart.
2- Ball cleaning stations without water
3- Drinking water stations empty
4- Forget looking for your ball if it travels slightly off the fairway because grass estimated to be 6 inches high and add another 1 to 2 inches of grass clippings on top of that.

This was my first time this course and most likely my last time if golf course management can't to better than this.
