About
Editor's Note: Course closed for business.
Cypress Creek Country Club in Boynton Beach offers classic Florida golf. The course is mostly open and it features wide, player-friendly fairways. The layout is notable for being Robert Von Hagge's first design. It is a traditional layout that casual players will enjoy but it has challenges in store for the low handicapper as well. The par 3s are quite lengthy and there are water hazards coming into play on a few holes. There are also a number of strategically placed bunkers along the greensides. Five sets of tees make the course approachable for all skill levels. It is an excellent layout for tournaments or outings. In addition to the golf course, Cypress Creek also offers a driving range where golfers can get in some practice before starting the round.

Il gagne a être connu. Le Back beau chalenge
LES Greens remplis de sable, donc pas appréciés le putting.
Great improvement
The greens are at what they should be. If you played last winter, you find a night and difference. The course is very good condition, and nice to play.
Barnyard
It is painfully slow on a Saturday and the course is not in good condition at all
There's Good Golf at Cypress Creek
I know there are lots of negative reviews about the conditioning at Cypress Creek but that is rapidly changing, in large part to the new greens superintendent as well as Bill Caspar Management taking over the facility=the head pro, Mike Walsh, has been there for 12 years and runs a friendly, golfer-oriented shop.
As for the course, this is almost a hidden gem in South Florida-it is a fun, interesting golf course with wide fairways and well defended greens. The greens were recently aerated so it's tough to judge the difficulty from recent play I would guess will be an interesting, strategic test once they are back to full speed.
I played it for the first time about a week ago and became an annual member and recommend Cypress Creek to anyone interested n playing good golf in a friendly setting-particularly if you (like me) much prefer walking rather than riding.
Nice Track and Facility
When you get to Cypress Creek, you will find a knowledgeable, and friendly staff. The carts are in good conditions, and the course is definitely coming back. The greens were a bit slow, but nice. The weather lately has created some mud zones around the course...but guess what? This is South Florida.
They have a Summer Sunshine Card for discounted play, with incentives too, and great green fee deals.
I will definitely be playing here more.
Improving Conditions at Cypress Creek Country Club
Thank you for your feedback. Cypress Creek Country Club has listened to the comments voiced by the patrons of GolfNow among other customers on their reviews regarding the conditions of our golf course. This summer Billy Casper Golf Management, who now operates Cypress Creek, has and will continue to implement several horticultural practices that will bring conditions of our course back to the shape we would all like to see it. Please come out and give us a try in the near future.
Play was extremely slow and no Rangers
Course played very slow. Left after 4 hrs and only played 13 holes. There were no Rangers to assist on the course
Course Rating
This course should have a Poor rating.
The Fairways lacked grass. You are hitting off dirt.
The Greens had mounds of Sand on them. I have no idea why the would sand on the area's that needed to be patched with grass. The area's where there was grass it was uncut making it Extremely slow to putt. This is like a 5 on the stint meter.
The Tee boxes had Crab grass or Dirt.
Overall, The course condition should be poor.
They have a lot of work to do to get it ready for the 2016 season.
Cypress Creek
Course layout is challenging at times. Unfortunately, fairway were dry and hard in some areas. Staff were nice.
Bad Course
Awful course. Will never play here again.
Fairways were terrible. Greens were bumpy and had sand .
Too bad
Good course great staff
Nice course with a friendly staff. Greens were in real good shape. Fairways were dry and hard but to be expected this time of year. Pace of play was quick. I would definitely recommend to anyone.
Cypress creek
Greens and fairways poor laypit strange holes not well designed
New maintenance- Billy Casper Golf. Improving Conditions
The new maintenance management company is really trying hard to bring back a course that was seriously neglected. The greens are being repaired and started to look like greens. Still some bad areas on the greens but much improved- most of the patchwork repairs have grown in. The rough and waste areas are trimmed and cleaned up. The fairways have been mowed but still patchy. I can deal with a fairway that is growing in- just reposition the ball. The bunkers are decent. The greens went from horrible to acceptable. Nice layout that's finally being given the attention that it deserves. The greens fees are in line with the course condition. The employees are nice and friendly- however not overly so. I think by next season it will be back. If you play now understand that they are trying and improvements are showing. I like the course layout and from the amount of play I think others are starting to enjoy it again also.
Not really a golf course
Little if any grass. Horrible conditions. Play only if you can't get on anywhere else
Ok for $25
The fairways are the driest fairways I have EVER played on and the greens are an absolute mess...huge sand spots. Some greens are 1/2 covered in sand spots ( for some type of repair).
The owners need to decide if they are serious or just keeping an 18 Hole driving range open.
Disappointing.
VERY DISAPPOINTING CONDITIONS!
It could be something special; but it's not! This course needs a few years of TLC and solid investment to bring it back. The greens were absolutely horrid!!
A nice tract but....
The course was an interesting course and would have been even more fun to play on if the greens were in better shape. The fairways were worn with weeds, reminding me more of northern courses than southern.
Staff was friendly and helpful. Given it was in season here in FL, the price was right.
war zone
Very bad condition, the fairway was burn and the green are very high and full of hole and a lot of grass missing.
