Apopka Golf & Tennis at Errol Estate

I used to enjoy going to Apopka Golf & Tennis. I would golf there every weekend but it will be a long time before I go back after the experience I had today. I don't understand how they have yet to place a Starter at the first hole. Today, my buddy and I had an 8:28am tee time and when we got to the first tee box there was a 4-some in front of us claiming to have the same tee time. I've never seen 6 people with the same tee time. I went to the pro shop to get clarification and was told that it was supposed to be my group plus a 2-some. I was also told that "people lie about their tee time all the time". This isn't the first time where there has been confusion or long lines on the first tee box. Problems like this can be easily handled if there was a Starter. Hopefully they'll eventually resolve this but I won't be back until it is. There are plenty of other options in the area.

The course had a few spots on greens that were in rough shap. some of the fairway were burn in sptos.

everything but the employees is first rate this course.tees,fairways ,greens, bunkers and rough are in great shape.very nice residential development surrounds course.the only thing was employee work habits.i know working the maintenance side is hard detailed work,but it would be nice to stop for a minute to let players hit shots without machinery going full blast and having someone gunning their cart as they come up behind you.as for the pro shop just handing out keys is not your only job function,if the club is going to have pin placement assignments make sure the carts have sheets so players don't have to guess.that being said if you can get a hot deal rate jump on it because this would be a $40-50 course in orlando.a lot better than the new courses built in the attractions areas.

I played as part of a 36 hole double header. I played with someone last week who recommended playing this course. I am very happy I listened. There were two different nines, Lake and Highland. They were complete opposites, but both very good. The only knock is there aren't any rakes in the bunkers. Go Play!!

I have played this course in 10 years because of the reviews. I saw the reviews have improved over the last couple of years so we gave it another try. Course was in greeat condition. Loved the layout, fairways were bare in some spots but overall they were in good shape. Greens could have been a little faster but rolled true. We enjoyed out day and will be back.

Had a great time planning on coming back soon. Very nice senery.

Went with a group for Labor day. Overcast weather so that was nice. Course was in great shape. Had not played here since it was just called Errol but enjoyed the course.

Course is in good shape. Greens are nice. Staff is friendly.

Paid $10 for a hot deal. Some tee boxes where a bit sparse but the fairways & greens where in good shape, even though the greens where a bit slow. They have closed one of the 9 hole loops, (used to be 3 loops). The chipping green & putting green where also in good shape

The greens and the fairways are in great shape. This is a fun place to play. Each hole offers a different challenge and everyone is very friendly.

This course is not pristine like a PGA level course but the fairways and greens where in very good condition (at least today).

Very slow front nine.......rain chased everyone in at the turn....played a brisk back nine with no traffic....nice greens and fairways....rough and bunkers need some grooming

The course management has really worked hard to improve the course. The positive changes from early spring are very noticiable. The greens are in great shape and the fairways have come a long ways.

The course is in very good shape. Greens were very good, almost give it an excellent for the quality of greens. Fairways better than most courses in the area. I think a good value for the price.

Have played this course often during it's ups and downs over the last fifteen years and found the greens as good as they have been during this span, the fairways were not far behind and the tees and rough are improving. This Joe Lee design [He did Bay Hill and Doral among others] was always a great layout with elevation changes and smart bunkering and with the improving conditions it has a chance of returning to a position as one of central Florida's premiere courses. The Superintendent deserves a bonus.

Had a great time course was in good condition and very good price

We enjoy playing the course because it's in good condition and it's different than the typical flat Florida courses. Looking from the 1st tee you'll see rolling hills and lakes that remind of the courses up north.

New owners are making it into one of the better courses in Central Florida.

Well worth playing for golfers of all skill levels.

Course in good shape. Greens roll the ball well.
Course could use 150 yard flags so that the 1st time players at the course could gage distance from the tee.

Have not played this course for awhile, but certainly
noticed an improvement in the Tee Boxes, Fairways,
and Greens. If you play it, you will too !

Course is fun to play. The two nines are totally different -Lakes and Highlands - and the names are accurate as well as descriptive. Fairways and greens are v. good for the most part. However, some greens are starting to brown. Several tees need immediate attention. Shot my second to best score ever - two over. Staff are the best - friendly and courteous. Ice water and ball washers on many tees. Keep up the effort and speed up the greens!
